Vital preparatory work to create a new roundabout which will improve traffic flow and access between the A160, A180 and the Port of Immingham is due to begin on Monday 20 July.
The creation of the new roundabout is part of an £88.4m project to improve access to one of the UK’s busiest ports by upgrading the A160 to a dual carriageway along its entire length.
Contractors will close both the A180 eastbound entry slip road and the westbound exit slip road at Brocklesby Interchange to install safety barriers which will help to reduce the overall length of time to complete the scheme.
The £88.4 m project began in March and aims to provide better access to the port and the surrounding area, stimulating growth and unlocking economic benefits. It is due to be completed in summer 2016.

Ben Ridgeon, Project Manager at Highways England, said:
“By doing this work it will allow the construction phase to progress in a more effective and efficient way, ensuring maximum safety to both road workers and road users alike.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this work will cause as there will be a number of diversions in place.
“Once this scheme has been completed, traffic congestion will be reduced, journey times will become more reliable, and safety will be improved for road users and the local community. There will also be better access to the Port of Immingham and the surrounding area.”
